DanceBuilders
The DanceBuilders program is for our budding preschool dancers ages 2 1/2 through Kindergarten and all classes are co-ed. Airborne Dance's Artistic Director Sara Calabrese has developed the DanceBuilders program to help students develop a love for dance while building a strong foundation of fundamental dance skills in a nurturing environment. Our teachers are energetic and imaginative, making our DanceBuilders classes a fun and memorable learning experience.
DanceBuilders Program classes will help your student:
Build a strong dance foundation. Through the use pre-ballet, pre-jazz, and creative movement lessons students will learn the basic techniques, vocabulary, and fundamental skills necessary to progress in many different forms of dance.
Build their musicality. Students will learn to listen for and feel the rhythm of music and develop their ability to reproduce rhythms.
Build movement quality. Students will be encouraged to experiment with and learn the difference between soft and sharp movements, high and low levels of movement, fast and slow movements, and many, many more!
Build self-expression. Students will develop their ability to express themselves through music not only through creative movement exercises, but also with props such as balloons, scarves, ribbon sticks, hoops and small percussion instruments.
Build a love of dance. Our goal through the DanceBuilders program is to build a love of dance and music that will last a lifetime. |
